Slicer is a Chrome extension designed to bridge real websites and AI-driven product building workflows. Instead of manually recreating UI components you find online, the tool lets you capture any interface element directly from a webpage and convert it into an AI-ready prompt.
The captured component is not just a static visual reference. It includes structure, interactions, animations, and state behavior, making it more useful for modern AI coding tools that generate functional UI rather than simple mockups.
Once captured, the component can be adjusted inside Slicer Canvas to better match a specific design system. From there, it can be exported as a prompt and used in tools like Lovable, Cursor, Claude Code, or Bolt to recreate or adapt the component in a new project.
The idea behind Slicer is to reduce the gap between inspiration and implementation. Developers and designers often see UI patterns they want to reuse, but translating them into reusable code or structured prompts is usually a manual and time-consuming step. Slicer turns that step into a capture-and-reuse workflow that fits naturally into AI-assisted development.
